Top Halloween Events in Essex 2015

Here at iHeartEssex we don’t need an excuse to get our party on, and with Halloween becoming a bigger holiday every year, we couldn’t wait to check out some of the spooktacular events happening in the county. Here is our rundown of some of the top Halloween events happening in Essex in 2015.

This contemporary restaurant is offering a Fright Night on Saturday 31st October that includes a Heston Blumenthal inspired 6 course menu of tricks and treats. Each dish has a horror movie themed name, and the actual ingredients will not be revealed until the end of the evening. The chefs promise nothing gruesome, but you may sample some unusual foods that you have not previously tried! The best dressed guest will win a £20 gift voucher.

Course 1: Torture Garden, Course 2: The Abyss, Course 3: Silence of the Lambs, Course 4: Trick R’ Treat, Course 5: Buried Alive and Course 6: Sixth Sense.

This evening of fear and food is not recommended for expectant mothers, guests with heart problems, or people with a nervous disposition as there may be some unexpected surprises!

Visit Orsett Hall on Friday 30th October to join their devilishly daring Halloween School Disco. Strictly over 21’s (ID will be required), get ready to show off your best zombie moves as you dance the night away to 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s music played by their house DJ.

If a shockingly fantastic Champagne Ball sounds like your kind of Halloween fun then head along to Thriller Night at The Brickyard on Friday 30th October.

Moet & Chandon champagne is just £40 a bottle and you can throw some scary shapes on the dance floor with DJ Woody (from Capital Xtra) and other DJs until it’s time to return to your coffin.

You can even enjoy a 3 course meal from their set menu beforehand, including their Surf and Turf special. 3 courses will cost you your life (or £34.95!).

If you are looking for a Halloween event suitable for your mini-monsters then look no further than the Foresters Arms.

On Thursday 29th October, this recently refurbished pub and restaurant is holding a children’s Halloween party. From 7-9pm there will be gruesome games, sickly stories and a terrifying treasure hunt to keep your little toads busy. Fancy dress is a must to stand a chance of winning the ‘best costume’ competition. Tickets are just £5 on the door.

One of the most popular nightclubs in Essex and loved by celebrities including Emma Bunton, Professor Green, the cast of TOWIE and even Usher, Sugar Hut is hosting “Yelloween”, sponsored by Veuve Clicquot champagne.

Dress as any superhero with a freaky twist, or as any evil super-villain for a chance to win a bottle of VC bubbles! The best costume on each night wins. Other Halloween fancy dress is allowed, otherwise the usual dress code applies.

This Indian restaurant has created a special Halloween dish, Kadhu Gosht (Lamb & Pumpkin Curry), and has a brand new a la carte menu including the Naga Raj Kebab, a meal so hot it must have been created in hell.

On Friday 30th and Saturday 31st of October you fill your belly and monster mash the night away with their resident DJ. Wear your most horrifying outfit for a chance to win a free meal (competition deets on their website).

With plenty of drinks offers too, you will have to be careful not to end up with a fangover!
