The Slug and Lettuce in Southend offers a great selection of pub food - and they regularly change their menu as they're part of the Slug and Lettuce chain. The food is generally well priced for mains - although on last check a large bowl of chips was over a fiver (might be wrong here!). The beers on tap change regularly, and there's frequently some good ales, which is nice. It's not the sort of place you'd go to for a evening meal - but for quick food at lunch or after work, it's great. Always tasty, usually quick - one of the better pubs to eat in, in Southend.
